Bill Dunn has worked in the areas of radiation measurement applications, mathematical modeling, and simulation for forty years. He received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University. Bill was President of Quantum Research Services, Inc., for fourteen years and joined the Kansas State University (KSU) faculty in 2002. Bill has served in various capacities within the American Nuclear Society and is Treasurer of the International Radiation Physics Society. He and his colleague Ken Shultis wrote the book Exploring Monte Carlo Methods, which was published by Elsevier Science in 2011. Dr. Dunn is Professor and Department Head of the Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering Department at KSU and is Steven M. and Kay L. Theede Chair in Engineering.
