sourceLocalization

On Wednesday December 9, Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) will host a joint ORNL/CNEC workshop on locating radiation sources in urban environments.  20 ORNL scientists and CNEC students, post-docs, and professors will discuss recent work on:

  • Methods to determine radiation source location from multiple sensors
  • Characterization of radiation background in urban environments
  • Radiation transport methods for predictive simulations of urban environments

The workshop is being coordinated by Dr. Donald Hornback of ORNL and Dr. John Mattingly of NCSU, who leads the CNEC Simulation, Analysis, and Modeling (SAM) working group.
