robert-reardonRobert Reardon  of NCSU’s Department of Political Science will speak about the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

Wednesday, November 18, 2015, 5:30 PM in Burlington Laboratories room 1202

ABSTRACT:

“The talk considers the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action agreed between the P5+1 (Russia, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany) and Iran, and the future trajectory of Iran’s nuclear program. Several important questions are addressed. First, what are the merits of the deal, and how does it compare to other feasible alternative approaches to the Iranian nuclear issue? Second, how stable is the deal likely to be, and what are the likeliest possible long-term implications? Finally, how might the agreement affect the broader international nonproliferation regime?”
